Bestmed Medical Schemes PPN Benefits

How your PPN benefit works
Who is PPN?
Bestmed has negotiated with Preferred Provider Negotiators (PPN), the largest optometry network in South Africa, to provide our members with affordable optometry services. PPN is:
• The network with the highest number of lives capitated by far.
• Generating substantial and substantive savings for contracted schemes.
• Generating a guaranteed optical benefit for almost 2.5 million lives without compromising the quality of product and service.

How do I know if my optometrist is affiliated to PPN?
To find out who is part of PPN and whether your optometrist is part of that network, go the PPN website www.ppn.co.za to “Find your nearest optometrist”, a user-friendly table with the preferred list per region and city.
Do I make an appointment?
You do not need to make an appointment. All you do is visit a PPN approved optometrist. Remember that optometry benefits are pre-authorised so call or ask the optometrist to call: 086 0103 529
